I received the informational flyer you left at my door today. It confirmed my worst nightmare. This can't be happening . . . To think that Fort Kent is even considering this leaves me completely speechless. The one asset this community has to offer residents, tourists, biathletes, university students "from away," and mushers is a beautiful rural setting "the way life should be." What are we thinking throwing that away for a few bucks? Isn't this what town management and zoning ordinances are for - to protect the good of the community and all of its citizens? Can our whole valley be sold out so some of the landowners can make money? Once these towers go up, our community is ruined FOREVER. There is no turning back. I'm nauseated to tears just thinking about bringing my nature-loving kids up in the middle of a mess like those towers would make. I moved here 2 years ago because I wanted my kids to be close to nature. I NEVER would have considered it if I had known this was going to happen. It breaks my heart! I do NOT want to break my kids hearts and uproot our family again!! Count me in as another "interested townsperson" who will fight this tooth and nail. Contact me at any time and let me know what I need to do to stop this. Pam Ashby
